TRFA offers individual and group rowing and paddling lessons to people with physical disabilities.  TRFA coaches and volunteer will work with each individual to teach proper technique and terminology to become a successful rower and paddler. TRFA has a fleet of adaptive rowing shells, pontoons, active hand gloves, and fixed seats to ensure each rower can thrive in the sport.

All TRFA lessons are located at the Texas Rowing Center, 1541 W. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, TX 78703.

Where

Private lessons can be arranged by contacting Tony Kuhn.  Each lesson runs roughly 90 minutes and can be scheduled Monday - Friday from the hours of 9:00AM - 4:00 PM and Saturday - Sunday between the hours of 10:00AM - 3:00 PM.

When

Rowing and paddling offer a great cardio and full body workout.  With proper training you can compete in competitive regattas.  Our programs offer the opportunity to row with local disabled veterans and other people with disabilities for support and bonding.  TRFA has adaptive equipment that allows us to teach rowing to most individuals regardless of disability.

Private rowing and paddling lessons cost $30 per 90 minute lesson. Group paddle outings cost $10 per person of a 90 minute lesson. TRFA offers scholarships and discounts for anyone who is in need of assistance.
