Who: Any person or group of people having a physical disability.
What: Texas Rowing For All (TRFA) provides coaches, and volunteers to teach rowing and or paddling technique, terminology and guidance to prepare every participant to become a successful rower or paddler. We have adaptive equipment to match the needs of the vast majority of physical disabilities.
When: TRFA is currently providing group partnership sessions on Saturdays from 7:30 – 9:30AM and on Mondays from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. You can observe these sessions and sign up for one of them or we can work with you to provide a session that will work for you or your group. If you are interested in observing a session or would like to arrange a session on a different day or time, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where: All programs are offered at the Texas Rowing Center on beautiful Lady Bird Lake on the North side of the Hike and Bike trail, directly behind Austin High School. Please go to the Map and Directions link for more information.
Why: Rowing and paddling offer a great cardio and full body workout, and with proper training you can become a participant in a competitive crew. Our programs give you the opportunity to meet with local disabled veterans, including “Wounded Warriors”, and other people with disabilities for support and bonding.
Pricing: TRFA offers sliding-fee pricing based on ability to pay. Memberships are usually six-weeks or six-months in duration, but we will work with you to build a membership length that best matches your needs.
